TIL: A Bob the Builder version of Mambo No. 5 topped the UK charts, before being removed from radio play due to its lyrics about building construction and that it was charting during September 2001

For those that it may be unclear to, the song was removed after the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks occurred in the United States. "The station's executive music producer Colin Martin describing the song as being 'too frivolous in light of the news that was breaking'".

Similar story: At the time of the 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean, a song called "Perfekte Welle" ("Perfect Wave") was very high in the German charts. It was taken out of rotation for a while but not completely removed.
