YouTube? I mean, technically YouTube existed when this came out but it had only been around for a few months.

I'm sure YouTube had nothing to do with its rise in popularity and everyone knows it from *checks Wikipedia* Newgrounds.

Haha, honestly, I don’t even remember Newgrounds. I was pointing out that I still think it’s a YouTube classic since it’s been on there for almost its entire existence, but maybe I underestimated how popular Newgrounds was.

I'm not sure if you know this, but Newgrounds was THE place for this type of content and flash games at the time. YT has definitely made it more available to the masses, but it's definitely not the reason it was as extremely popular when it was.

It would be accurate to say that Newgrounds made it famous, YouTube just kept it accessible to newer audiences as Flash was killed off.

I would have never known about newgrounds if it weren’t for YouTube reposts.
