In the Sumy area, Russian assault groups from the “North” troop grouping captured Potapivka and advanced 400 meters into the Sumy and Hlukhiv districts. They repelled counterattacks from the Ukrainian 225th Assault Regiment and forced units from the Ukrainian 119th Territorial Defense Brigade to abandon their positions in the Krasnopillia district. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian command is accumulating reserves along the Bachivsk–Ulanovo line in the Sumy region to reinforce defensive positions. In the direction of Dobropillia, Russian units of the “Center” troop grouping are expanding their control zone in the center of Hryshyne.
