FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) ā€“ Drivers in Fresno were greeted with a surprise treat over the weekend when gas was going for literal cents.

Cā€™s Oasis Mobil in Fresno was selling gas for only 59 cents a gallon late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

While it was great news for drivers, the store says they lost a lot of money.

They believe it was the work of hackers and are working with Exxon Corporate to find out what went wrong.

They believe it was the work of hackers

More likely some dumbass employee entered ".590" instead of "5.90" ... and then blamed it on 'hackers' instead of owning up to the mistake.

But if it really was hackers ... then that's definitely a hack I'd like to learn!

It's Fresno. So probably very definitely the first thing. How do they not notice it all day?
