This is my own tip ive been doing and helping others to do as well. I notice people (especially young) dont use bookmarks/favorites anymore. Many mainly know only 3 things online:. Google (only reading summaries), x, and tiktok. Probably chatbots too. I myself have a ton of bookmarks for interesting hard to find sites (many I found on Lemmy) and when i find myself endless scrolling or being bored, I go to my bookmarks!! Its always way more enjoyable and actually helps my brain learn. Whether its an article I marked to read later or an old forum post or a blog, it's much better for you than constant content consuming. Another benefit is you're keeping your web traffic off corpo net and reducing their tracking and revenue from you. Things like wikwok on f droid are wonderful as well. I only wish i had kids so I could teach them these things and stop the brain rot! Its really sad how many people are turning into zombies because of endless addictive scrolling. |

You know, I regularly use bookmarks, but mostly for sites that I use regularly. I have a hard time finding stuff again that I bookmarked for reading later, and for the most part I instead keep the tab forever and ever. How do you organize these in a way that's actually useful? |

You know, I regularly use bookmarks, but mostly for sites that I use regularly. I have a hard time finding stuff again that I bookmarked for reading later, and for the most part I instead keep the tab forever and ever. How do you organize these in a way that's actually useful?
I have some folders. But I'm not worried about keeping it organized because I like to dive in like a pile of old books and find something. Its searchable too if I want a specific thing. |

I just organized my bookmarks into separate folders based on content. Took a couple hours but boy does it feel good |
