The Fifa president made the comments while in attendance at half-time of Iran’s friendly with Costa Rica in Turkey

Well obviously with a stern talking to from Infantino, this whole unpleasantness is completely resolved:

Infantino, whose attendance at Tuesday’s game was unannounced, added: “I’ve seen the team, I’ve spoken to the players and the coach, so everything is fine.”

You don't say your boycotting games ahead of time, because that gives the organization you're trying to boycott time to adapt.

You keep telling them youll show up till the last minute, then they have to deal with refunding all the tickets or tens of thousands of pissed off fans.
