Some background: I don’t live in the US, I’m from South Africa, but that hasn’t stopped my boss from being the most hardcore MAGA supporter I’ve seen online or offline. He’s a self-proclaimed ‘Rhodesian Expat’ who has a confederate flag proudly hanging on his wall.
Anyway, while talking to him today we finally touched on the topic of the Epstein files. I’d avoided talking about it previously because I assumed he would give the same answer as every republican.
Instead, he told me that Trump is keeping the majority of the files hidden to use them as ‘a bargaining chip’ to win the midterm elections. According to him, no one in the Republican Party is in the files, only democrats and Democrat-aligned businessman. So when the end of the year comes around, he’s going to use it as leverage to arrest all of the these people and / or ruin their reputation.
