Iran is allowing EU countries to pay their toll in euros. Unlike the Yuan, there already exists a well established international system for settling payments in euros, ~30% of all foreign exchange trades already involve it. Maybe there will be PetroEuro.

Edit: If Iran and the EU had the courage they could break off their alignment with Russia/China and USA respectively to dominate the 21st century.
