I finished reading Blindness, by José Saramago.

It's good. The worst part, by far, of reading this was the horrendous quality of the ebook I got; You get what you pay for, sometimes. Just dreadful. How dreadful? Making me want to buy a physical copy levels of dreadfully horrendous.

Whatever. I might read Seeing next, or maybe the Gospel According to Jesus Christ. Or maybe something else.

I feel genuinely undecided on what to read next.

Anyway, my thoughts on Blindness are... Uncertain. I did like it very much, but I felt that it was somewhat... Uneventful? It was kind of like being transported to another world and just experiencing what happened. I guess that's fine, but I kind of feel like nothing changed for me. I just read the book, and now I know what happened in that other world, and it felt very human. There's certainly value in that, and I do want to read more by Saramago because of that, but it feels very weird.

It felt oddly aimless, though not in a blind man grasping for hold sort of way, more like in a "here's what this is, now think about it" sort of way. I doesn't hold my hand, I guess is what I mean?

Anyway... I wore black pants today. Also, I bought new (2nd hand) shoes.
