Watched We Were There, a shoujo romance with lots of drama that somehow manages not to feel overly artificial. It's girly but at the same time heavy and very 2000s coded. Nanami and Motoharu are so different they struggle to understand each other, but neither can live without love, which makes both of them miserable, so they try to make it work because neither can let go. It was sad and painful to watch. I liked it enough to consider picking up the manga to see how this ends. Now onto Nana. Ikoku Nikki has already destroyed me, so I might as well reach the bottom of the abyss while I'm at it. |

I keep rewatching CGDCT Kin-iro Mosaic (with japanese immersion with mpvacious). There are so many things I didn't notce or just forgot about. The teachers in this anime are pretty funny. Something like, "Sensei, do you know how I can get along with my students?" — "Put on bunny ears, they will like it". pics
Aya is my favorite character. Slightly paradoxical, but she expresses her thoughts quite calmly and clearly, yet at the same time she is very sentimental, romantic and shy, especially with Youko, often struggling to string together even a couple of words. She is like Ayano with Toshinou Kyouko from YuruYuri, but Aya has a stronger tsundere side. Sounds like meme, "two tsunderes: Aya and Ayano" xd. |

I've heard a fair bit of praise for Call of the Night season 2, so I have been slowly working through season 1. Honestly, the first half was pretty mid, and a chore to sit through. Nothing was really happening besides a kid having (being?) chuunibyou because he got burnt out. That, and him meeting a vampire. It became way more interesting in the second half. Without going into any details, more things happened.
Now I am looking forward to season 2. P.S. I noticed there are a few similarities to the Twilight series Call of the Night / Twilight spoiler
