Uh, is skiing really that difficult? I grew up water skiing and the one time I've tried downhill snow skiing I joked that my water skiing would help. I fell once on a flat part trying to get back to the ski lift and stopping was a bit of a challenge but other than that... did I actually have a leg up as a beginner?
