I am one of the rare stupidpol somali and I honestly don't think my outlook on the world differs much from most people here. I agree that identity politics has gone too far but the reactions to the fraud scandal really blackpilled me, I believe strongly in individual autonomy and I am far more critical of my own group more than most people are of theirs even if there is a comparable level of cultural issues, though seeing what trump said, what republicans were saying and the reactions were disheartening in a way even other black people were piling on, so much for " poc unity" ironically I saw more white liberals defend somalis
I would be lying if I said I wasn't afraid of my status in the west and in the world, I'm also irreligious and I could never authentically live as myself in my home country without risking disownment, imprisonment or worse case death, this is not me trying to start a pro islam or anti Islam conversation but that's just the reality for me, whatever flaws exist in the west, it is anti racist and minority protection laws that keep people like me safe, for better or worse, that's why annoying woke scold leftists or liberals are a lesser evil to me, at least they care in some way even if they can be patronising
I can tell the established world order, protected by the west is collapsing and my community is also caught in the midst of a cultural war with a president using this to hide his scandals, it doesn't help we have our own cultural issues to deal with
