Ok…I don’t know how dedicated yakuza members are and I don’t know what the waters are like between southern Japan and easternmost S. Korea but…can’t the yakuza afford a decent boat to deliver that much pot?

Sounds like the rented an entire container ship to smuggle the one container. My guess is they got moled/ ratted internally. Maybe compromised computer or phone hardware.
