After 11 weeks, a lot of pills and a whole week in hospital, I finally kicked the infection. My foot now looks normal - well, as normal as residual limbs go 🙂 i.e. not red or swollen - it feels great and I feel great. I haven't been feeling great for a long, long time, so that's quite a novel experience. Today I went out and did 4 hours of yard work in 15 degree weather. The house is finally getting taken care of, I could undo the neglect and I had no issues whatsoever. Yeah, it don't seem like much, but that a huge win for me. I just wanted to share the joy 🙂 |
