There's a lot of dismal commentary on here about the state of Gen Z, ostensibly coming from the disgraced Millennial generation. Most of these posts describe my peers as being sedated cattle-like creatures whose phones prevent them from achieving true Marxist enlightenment.

This isn't true. My Generation is very politically charged, and shows marks of class-consciousness across partisan lib/conservative divides.

The problem is that Gen Z consumes algorithmic drivel and lives political lives vicariously rather than actually. We are voyeurs of ideology.

This is, in my opinion, a very sophisticated form of control. Man's political life is a surrogate: provided for his fundamentally vasectomized politics.

If push comes to shove in material reality, an ideology created by hyperreal drivel will crumble like a cookie. Nothing can come of it. There is so much value in lived experience.

“Spectacle is the sun that never sets over the empire of modern passivity”
