It's easy to look around and see cycles: the sun; the moon; a heartbeat; the examples are seemingly endless. However, things keep changing.

After every cycle, upon returning to the starting spot, though it may be hard to notice, it becomes clear that things changed. The sun is just a tiny bit older; The moon as well; and the heart is just a little bit more tired. Things go in a circle, leaving pieces behind along the way, wearing themselves away on the way to another start, just to go again, a little weaker. Sometimes, a little stronger.

I guess that's why habit is so powerful. Making things a cycle feels natural, it feels right.

I guess that's why bad things seem to trickle down from generation to generation. People call it generational trauma, or becoming like one's father, for example. If I were to become like my father, I'd feel good about myself, but I digress.

At times like these, it might be good to remember that things keep changing, even if just a little, even if it looks like everything's going in circles. Trying to break a bad habit doesn't necessarily look like a clean break; it might look like a cycle, wherein the bad habit is slowly worn away, and you get a little stronger in turn.

I took measurements of some pants and a shirt, today, so I could make some educated clothing purchases online. Second-hand, of course, for sustainability! And price.

I wore my suit, today. It was cool.
