Some rules we try to uphold:

Be civil. Bigotry is not welcome. This includes (but is not limited to): transphobia, queerphobia, racism, ageism and ableism. We do not promote hate.
Communities need to be Retro or Retro-adjacent.

What could a gov't lemmy/piefed instance created for idea-capture accomplish, for much less costs??

anybody who's treating others properly can contribute, not just the panellists
this means greater diversity of ideas captured
this means that it isn't just industry-insiders who are being heard
when it comes to vetting/weeding-down, then that may require hiring people, but as with FLOSS, it's managing-the-community-contributions which produces the hugest results..

why the hell the cartel-is-the-answer assumption?
