At this point, "improving lives" is considered socialism by conservatives, and a far-left pipedream by neoliberals.

Fixing potholes may not be “socialist,” but Mamdani’s aggressive effort to escalate small infrastructure fixes is part of a much broader plan to restore faith in the public sector’s ability to get things done.
