Graphic with a portrait of Sanna Marin, former Prime Minister of Finland, wearing a light gray turtleneck. Beside her is a quote about leading a five party coalition and valuing compromise, listening and consensus in Finland’s proportional representation system.

A system that expects parties to listen, compromise and find common ground produces calmer politics and better decisions.

Canada can have that too with proportional representation. We just have to choose it.
