Officials from the Palestine Football Association have been denied entry to Canada ahead of a pre-World Cup meeting of Fifa’s member associations to be held in Vancouver this month

Rajoub is understood to be one of the three individuals denied a Canadian visa, alongside the PFA’s general secretary and head of legal affairs. A spokesperson for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said they would not comment on individual visa cases but that “applications are considered on a case-by-case basis based on the information presented by the applicant. All clients who submit an application to IRCC are subject to comply with eligibility and admissibility requirements, as part of the process, regardless of their nationality. All applicants receive thorough correspondence from IRCC regarding the decision on their application.”

Rajoub is a former militant and Fatah member who used to oversee the kidnapping and torture of Arafat's enemies. He's also called for using nukes to exterminate the population of Israel.

Palestinian Media Watch quoted Rajoub saying that if the Palestinians had nuclear weapons “we’d use them” right away against Israel, though that statement appeared to have been made sarcastically, as a rhetorical point directed against Arab critics of Fatah’s willingness to negotiate with Israel. “Until now we don’t have nuclear weapons. Believe me, if we had nuclear weapons we would use them tomorrow morning. Believe me, our sick are dying in the hospitals … and the only countries with money to come through with Arab League decisions are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Algeria,” Rajoub said.
