I think Thomas Riker should get a spotlight

I'd watch 3 seasons of a Riker series.

Especially if ol’ Two-Takes directs most of the episodes. Frakes has directed some of my favourite genre tv-episodes.

Many of the people who will honestly critique (note: not simply troll) a series are actual fans.

It takes a level of care about something to genuinely critique and properly complain about a series that Hollywood, and much of its fans, are unwilling to admit to.

It was painfully obvious during the Disney Star Wars slop, yet this lesson still hasn't been learned: Some of the fiercest criticism is from your fans.

Reception of Discovery was controversial at best, starting Academy from that story line was always going to start it from a place of controversy. Acting like that isn’t the case and that the people who didn’t like it are trolls is misguided at best and likely to alienate part of the fan base.
