Sydney Leroux posted to social media hinting once again at her return to the pitch in 2026

This would be awesome not only because I love Sydney Leroux, but also because it’s awesome to set a precedent that you can step away from the game for mental health reasons and that doesn’t close the door on playing professionally forever:

The former USWNT forward announced ahead of the 2025 season that she would step away from the game for her mental health, and has not appeared in a match since November, 2024. Angel City ended the season in 12th place that year, but Leroux was an important player on the front line starting 19 matches for the club.

I'd love to see it.
