I finished reading The Great Gatsby, today.

I liked it! A lot. I thought it was very well-written, for one, though it was a little confusing, at times. It feels like the scenes snap from one to the next, sometimes being only very loosely connected; this almost gave me whiplash. I liked the characters, though, the caricature and the criticism. It felt like they were all very unique and colourful, not that their true colours weren't too pretty to look at.

Anyway, I don't think Nick Carraway is gay at all. I think he was blinded by extravagance, and he's maybe a little autistic and easily pulled along. Honestly, I saw myself in him, sometimes. To be fair, I was convinced I was gay for quite a long time, but I really don't think I am; I just don't feel some emotions very strongly, and tend to live a very passive life. Anyway, I read an article on this subject and was utterly unconvinced.

My next read... I'm not sure, I think I might read something from my shelf, maybe Humus by Raúl Brandão or some Saramago, but I definitely want to get started on The Idiot soon.

I wore my dark wool suit trousers, today!
