Here's the infographic:

It’s also a disaster, not everything is labeled correctly.

Telehandler a heavy duty lift looks like the one they call rough terrain.

And a pallet jack isn’t a lift. It’s a jack, it’s in the name, they can’t lift, they only move them around.

I have used almost half of all of these. Only thing I used not shown is a high lifter. Those fucking things are scary.

But... Pallet jacks do lift a pallet. Just only by a few inches. And they have forks.

Just like a car jack vs a lift, lift implies you stack stuff.

Also, anyone can use a pallet jack, or electric jacks. Anything ride on usually needs licensing though.

Elevators? Weights? And who doesn't consider a car jack to be lifting the car?

Yes and as I already clarified earlier, a lift implies STACKING.

Also note, it specifies a SHORT DISTANCE, you can’t ignore part of a definition to suite your narritive.

Your obvious trolling denseness isn’t funny btw.

And as I already implied: No it does not. It implies elevating it. 🙄

No, in construction and mechanic tools, they have specific definitions.

Laymen’s, yes of course you can incorrectly use one for the other. But it’s not correct. Also lifts don’t jack. They are different things wholefully.

The definitions are related to the devices themselves, not their function. A jack is portable. A lift is a vehicle or other heavy machinery. It has absolutely nothing to do with stacking.

We get it, you don’t work construction or a trade. They are named because of their usage, it’s circular dude.

As I said as a laymen, you’re free to use them that way. We know better, and will correct the incorrect usage.

Especially in a community such as this one.

Odd that it doesn't mention one of the most common ones which is a liquefied petroleum gas forklifts (the ones with the gas cylinder on the back)

A lift is a vehicle or other heavy machinery.

You sure about that…?

Also not a vehicle or heavy equipment, vml

It has absolutely nothing to do with stacking.

Note that my link even specifies stacking.

Around here the telehandler is known as a zoom boom. And if you call it anything else you reveal yourself as full of book learning without any job experience.

I have some grace, lots of terms are regional and we get apprentices from across the country.

We use zoomboom too, but training wanted unified terms since it’s international certification.

who doesn't consider a car jack to be lifting the car?

Your boss who asked for the vehicle to be put on the car lift, but you think he means the car jacks. You’re not going to last long if you can’t infer the context yourself.

If your boss asked for a pallet jack, and you come back with a forklift, he’s gonna question your intelligence. Construction and other TERMs for equipment have specific definitions and meanings. You CANT use laymen dictionary.

If you worked with these, like you claim… you clearly weren’t trained or were just some labourer.

I drove forklifts for over a decade at multiple companies. I have never driven a diesel forklift for work, only to test drive. 75%+ were LP, the rest being electric.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think I'm more annoyed at @Kolanaki@pawb.social for bickering with you, or that you submitted a report for every single one of their comments that just says "breaks community rules" and does not say what rule it broke? You spammed it so much you even reported your own comment.

Next time you two better act like adults or I'm just banning both of you. One for abusing the reporting system and the other for incivility. I have you both tagged with "shitlist" in my app.

The app doesn’t let me select a specific rule, only a generic reason, you know your own rules and can deal with it no? Why do you need your own rules spelt out, they were off topic and trolling, both rules that are broken.

I justified my side, just like your rules said, not my fault you don’t want to enforce them. And we are supposed to report rule breaking comments for you to deal with yeah? If not how do you know about them? So you’re bitching I’m doing what I’m supposed to do? What a fucking mod. Someone was breaking the rules, I reported the comments, what do you suggest I do? Not follow your own rules?

And if you’re only on here every few days, get help, what a fucking mod lol.

Disagreeing with you is not trolling. You could have walked away from your argument any time. And while the other person crossed the line, your tone was rude and dismissive first.

If you're going to be so liberal with the reporting tool you need to use an app that lets put a descriptive reason. Make whatever excuses you want, but you were so haphazard you reported your own comment. I always read the entire thread for context so one report is enough unless there's a new rule broken in another comment.

They weren’t disagreeing, they were refusing to acknowledge with evidence and proof were provided that they were wrong. Refusing to provide sources to support their side. Than lashed out.

No, I don’t. You have your rules and should know them. Dont make excuses for not wanting to follow the rules you made.

It’s the most popular app, so you’re full of shit.
