I wore my new suit, today.

It was awesome!!!!!! It was so awesome!!

First of all, I love the colour. It's just grey enough that it could definitely pass for grey, but it's also brown, which I freaking love. I love brown! Earthy and sweet, it just feels right. The pants are really comfortable and the jacket is too.

The pants are way too big, yes, but I can confidently say it's fine, after actually wearing it out for a day. My belt holds them up perfectly fine, and though they do get a little scrunched at the waist, it's easy to adjust it so that it's not noticeable at all! This is just great, really great!

The jacket fits me perfectly. I was a little scared, before ordering... I mean, the measurements were right, but it's always a bit of a dice roll, of course. Compared to the other suit jacket I have, though, it's just night and day. The other one fits me very poorly, it's way too small, clearly and evidently. If I don't button it up, it looks fine, I think, but buttoned it's a mess. This jacket looks awesome whatever way! I didn't really button it, mind you, since it's a relatively hot day and I was doing a bit of walking and a lot of sitting, but I tested it and it's fantastic buttoned as well. My only complaint is that the pockets are a little shallow. There's a lot of them, and they're good pockets, but just a little too shallow.

I wore the suit with a black polo for a shirt. Bad choice? I don't know. I think the polo fits me really well and, most importantly, I think it looked good. The black with the dark grey brown looked really nice, I thought.

My brown leather shoes made an appearance, as well, to match my brown belt. I think it was a great combo, but I do wonder if black shoes and belt would've been better choice. I asked a friend, yesterday, through some photos, and she said the brown shoes were best, but I wonder... I prefer the brown shoes in general, but I think the black might've been great in this particular case. Not sure.

Anyway, I think I was, as they say, slaying. Serving, perchance.

The only bad part about wearing a suit is that I feel extremely silly (and uncomfortable) wearing my backpack as well... So I just carry it by some straps it has instead. Not the arm straps, some side straps. I think it's fine, and it's a nice blue backpack which I think goes really well with brown, by the way, but it does feel a little silly. A briefcase style thing, or some sort of shoulder-strap bag would be better. I've looked at some online, but I'm kind of struggling to find something that I really love.

This suit purchase, so far anyway, has been fantastic. I love it. It ran me less than 40€, too, which I think is a reasonable price for a 100% wool suit in good condition.

One thing, though, is that I feel like it's a little shiny? Apparently, suits get shiny when they're washed a lot of ironed improperly. Not sure... I thought that maybe it was polyester and I'd been scammed, but by feel I really do think it's wool. It's not like, it's not "shiny", really, one definitely wouldn't characterise it as shiny, but yeah. It's about as shiny as my other suit, actually; I think I might've even brought this up when I bought it, and that one I'm sure is 100% wool. Well, I guess that's just the material.

It doesn't bother me at all, just something to note. Maybe it's just a normal and regular level of shine, and I'm just used to not-at-all shiny cotton shirts, I don't know.

Nobody commented on my suit, actually. I didn't expect anyone to comment, per se, but the last time I wore a suit they did! Or rather, some people did. Today, I didn't really see that many people that would have had an opportunity to comment on my suit, but I did see some, and not a peep! It's OK, of course, I don't really care either way, but it's always a bit of an anxiety for me going on in clothes like this, unusual clothes. I fear that I might look silly... But I like the way it looks, I like wearing it, so I do it anyway. When people comment positively, it relaxes me a bit, maybe. That's my hope, anyway. I think I really do have to dive deeper into this mentality of just not caring what people think and just doing me! Well, in regards to this, anyway.
