Baldur's Gate 3 hammered Steam hard when it launched in 2023, but not hard enough for Michael Douse.

Somehow I get the feeling that their next game will fall flat.

Maybe don't try to break your game delivery partner when you release something?

I would love if their next game isn’t like 300+ GB. Storage is expensive.

Their next game will probably sell really well at launch. They have several previous games, all highly praised and have built loyalty with their fan base.

I'm not saying the game will be good or bad but it will SELL well. If the game is good and is received well it will only build the sales for the one after it. If the game sucks and is poorly received they will have burned that loyalty and trust and will need to either work hard to rebuild it, to the extent they can, or their following game won't sell or the company will go bankrupt before it's released.
