Thanks, though I hesitate to call anything involving a tick beautiful. I used my 60mm macro lens to get this little lady, at least I think it's a female.

Not you OP but ticks can fuck right the fuck off. I've been battling them for 2 weeks now. Every walk I find one on me or my dog. It was so bad last week during the hot stretch that I found not one, but fucking TWO just crawling on my desk inside my house. My skin was crawling for days after that. This is a particularly bad tick season. I'm so done with them already.

Oh no. Yes I hate them with a passion too. I hope they're mild near me this year. Last year they were really bad during spring, but I didn't find a single one on me during summer and I was out quite a bit. I'll be loading up on bug spray the next time I get to the store...

If you have any camera with swappable lenses you can buy cheap extension tubes for around $20 and turn your lens into a macro lens. Also, I do think they have macro lenses for phones now, but I don't have any experience with that.
