Is it true the Mozart was deaf at a time and still played piano by the vibrations in the floor? If so was he that good he could just reach up from the floor and play the piano?

No, not remotely.

Are you thinking of Beethoven?

Beethoven, and not his entire life. He is supposed to have been sticking his ear on the piano while he was playing it to feel the vibrations of the notes while he was composing some of his music.

Edit: well, looks like I was a bit late ;)

Beethoven became deaf, and could only appreciate things like orchestral performances and audience applause from vibrations (but I’ve never heard that he had any exceptional abilities in that regard).

Mozart did tricks like playing the piano upside down or blindfolded, but it had nothing to do with being deaf.
