This interview with Liam was recorded on Wednesday, 22 March, 2026, just after Liam had announced his candidacy for Queensland's Stafford by-election. The accompanying article where I analyse the similarities and differences between the Queensland Greens and the Queensland Socialists can be found at www.jonathansri.com/socialistsvsgreens/

I believe Jono identifies primarily as an anarchist, and I would honestly not be surprised to see him leave the Greens for the Socialists, if they prove to be internally stable and have staying power. He's already relatively on the fringes of the Australian Greens nationally. Though his comments about how the Queensland Greens are relatively more leftist than the Victorian Greens is a very interesting one.

Incidentally, Liam Parry in addition to being the Socialist (officially Independent, since they have not properly registered yet) candidate for Stafford, is also among those who has been arrested and charged with saying "from the river to the sea" under Queensland's new laws.
