It also depends on which instance you are on. Piefed.social allows you to upload images for "local" hosting and display. Piefed.ca does not have image hosting, so you would have to host the images with a third party service.

I'm on feddit.online. But l've uploaded images successfully even two days ago.

The image uploading feature is not working now. So l've got to take the help of Mastodon.

It's now fixed on feddit.online. It was a firewall issue.
