My path to EU hosted Bitwarden instance with some hiccups and tips

Overall if you want free and open-source password manager you don't have many options - Proton Pass, Bitwarden or Passbolt could be for you

You see ... for some people without home labs the "cloud bullshit" is the selling point.

You can put your KeePass database on any cloud storage of your choice to sync it between different devices.

Sure, but then what's the difference between having your encrypted database on the password managers cloud server or any other?

Less dependencies, easier backups, storage location of your choice (e.g. EU hosting) etc.
