Some movies just do not work for everyone, and that is exactly why I find them interesting.

Not every film needs to be universally loved to be meaningful. Some movies hit a very specific mood, a very specific emotion, or say something in a way that only a few people really connect with. Those are the ones I end up defending the hardest.

For me, the best kind of “underrated” movie is not just one that is ignored, it is one that people dismiss too quickly because they were expecting something else, or because it did not fit the usual formula. Sometimes the movie is messy, sometimes it is unconventional, but that is also what makes it memorable.

So I am curious: what is one movie you will always stand up for, no matter how much hate or indifference it gets? And what makes it special to you?
