Feelings are never wrong, but they can be questioned. It’s what you do with those feelings that’s wrong or right.

That’s how they phrased it when I went to rehab.

Because humans are conscious and can reflect on themselves, we've made them much more complicated, but at heart, "feelings" are pretty much the same things we call "instincts" in animals.
