I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. I'd remember if that happened.

And to answer your question, the earliest written "account" of Atlantis comes from Plato's writings. The evidence there really was such a civilization is scarce, and I am being very generous here, because there is NO actual hard evidence it existed. Most likely a made up story.

This is the first time I'm hearing of Lemuria, but it seems to be some sort of 19th century conspiracy theory. Sorry to disappoint with this one.

Hence "tales.“ And to use your words,

Also, a bit of a personal question. Do you go to Christmas parties where there are children and yell "Santa isn't real! Jesus wasn't born on Christmas!" or do you do these kinds of things online-only? Let me have a little whimsy, for fuck's sake.

I'm just sharing whatever I know/think about the topic. Not saying it 100% did or did not happen. Cool story though.

I liked the Disney version as a kid. It's an underrated classic. Good animation and hot ethnic women. What more can a man want? Actually, late 90s early 2000s Disney animation did have a thing for hot ethnic women, now that I think about it. Atlantis, Mulan, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame... Uh... Hercules? She's Greek, that counts as ethnic right? Emperor's New Groove? That last one was a bit unconventional. Huh. What was I talking about?

Anyway, that version of Atlantis didn't even happen, so it's not relevant to the discussion. Ignore my previous rant if you did not find it sufficiently entertaining.

And yes, I do make inappropriate comments during christmas parties. At this point, I'm convinced they're the reason I'm even invited. Christmas would just be too boring without me explaining that Carbonic Acid isn't ACTUALLY dangerous to humans, and what Cymothoa exigua is.

Thank you. I see my error.

Thank you. I see my error.

Great! I'm not very good with wording things. Case and point.

My error was poor phrasing. I wanted to know the origin of the story about the war of these mythic civilizations.

It's not necessary to believe every mythic tale, literally, but what we can learn from the story.

Perhaps some Enochian magicians literally believe in demonic forces while others understand them as psychological forces. Lon Milo Duquette has some interesting lectures about it, the HGA, and tuplas. I was particularly amused at his reading of a letter from someone who conjured a tulpa to fix his printer, then complained he fixed it himself.

All that said, I personally would add a note that anyone struggling with mental health issues first address them with a qualified professional, before embarking on these adventures.

In the magician tarot card, one hand points toward heaven and the other earth, reminding us of the mirror principal. But having dabbled with Jewish and hermetic kabbalah, I have a different understanding of heaven and earth. I say dabbled because reading and writing Hebrew is particularly difficult for me.

No offense to you, but I think I might disagree with your interpretation of reality. On a fundamental level.

Back to the question at hand, I did give the earliest written record of Atlantis. The other one, like I said, first time hearing about it. Yes, we can learn from the story. That is what stories are for. And that is great.

You are free to disagree. You aren't walking my path, nor I yours.
