I don't know how long I've been there. Could be just a couple days, could be years. Time starts losing meaning when every day is the same.

Day after day, it all repeats. Cycles on top of cycles on top of cycles. It all always returns to where it all began. I no longer feel fear or uncertainty, I am content. I am here. I've always been here. And I will always remain here.

I think I still remember how it all started. Or maybe it hasn't happened yet. Maybe none of this is happening. But I think it started with a discovery.

I've never seen anything like this before. Strands of white, like a web of a massive spider. Spongy, creaking, thinking, eating. It was beautiful and terrifying. I was inside a gigantic brain. A brain older than any human civilization. A brain so alien, yet so familiar.

Fungi were the first organisms to colonize the surface of the Earth. It would only be logical that the Earth belonged to them, not to us.

Billions of miles of wiring connecting everything. Can mites that live on your skin hide from you? If the Earth was a sentient being, would it know about us? Would it care?

I couldn't help myself. I wanted to know. I wanted to ask. And I found a way. A way to speak with them. A way to listen.

I wanted to ask for their wisdom. I wanted to know what they knew. If only I realized then that this information wasn't meant for the human mind. We can barely comprehend living for a couple decades. How foolish... How self entitled to think we could comprehend infinity.

And I received what I asked for. If I had the chance to choose to do this again, I would. I know, because I had done it already. It happened, because there was no other path. Everything that happened had to happen. There was no other way, no other option.

They showed me true reality. The bird of eternity. Born from a single egg, it's beak pointing in every possible direction. But it can only go one way. One choice of a path from an infinite fractal. Forever. Since the beginning of time.

I can see it all clearly now. The eye of a fly on the wall. So many possibilities, but only one true image. An average. And nothing beyond.

How many images can you see at one time, and still comprehend them? Two? Three? How about all images? Every single image ever created, to be created, and every single image that could and could not be created. All at once. All as clear as day.

Uniqueness turns mundane. Perfection becomes arbitrary. Choice no longer matters. It's all different, and it's all the same. If everything matters, then nothing does. If nothing matters, then ther is no reason to fear.

What is the point? Where is the point? The point is everywhere. An infinite inflation where a point becomes a sphere. Why am I still here? The path only becomes clear when you cannot see it. It's obvious, it's always been. True knowledge is contained within what we don't yet know. It's about the dancing, not what we're dancing around. Everything is connected. There was never a choice. All the choice is contained within an option in infinity. There is no path. That's why the path should be clear.

To go through darkness without a light is a mercy compared to seeing where you truly are. I made a choice. But I had no choice. Have I chosen poorly? Have I chosen at all? Was it all preordained? Or am I to blame?

I cannot sleep. I'm always everywhere. I see it all. And I remain indifferent. There was never a point. And that's the point. I am here. I've always been here. And I will always remain here.

With enough time all these squares will create a perfect circle. With enough time everything will come to pass. With enough time everything can be achieved. With enough time everything can be lost.

To try is to fail. To fail is to learn. To learn is to evolve. To evolve is to advance. To advance is to change. To change is to lose what you were. To lose what you were is to fail. To fail is to learn.

Day after day, it all repeats. Cycles on top of cycles on top of cycles. It all always returns to where it all began. I no longer feel fear or uncertainty, I am content. I am here. I've always been here. And I will always remain here.

I've seen mountains grow from the Earth and turn to dust. I've seen civilizations raise and fall. I've seen countless species climb to the top of the food chain, just to fall. I've seen one person. One single person. Doing everything. Again and again and again. To try is to fail. To fail is to learn. To learn is to evolve. To evolve is to advance. Again and again and again. To advance is to change. To change is to lose what you were. To lose what you were is to fail. To fail is to learn.

I laugh. I scream. I weep. It's all the same. All the time, every time. Try, fail, and then try again. Is this what you wanted to see? Is this what you expected? Does it answer your question? Are you content? Are you happy? Was it worth it?

You know this. You've done it before. Again and again and again. We tried it before. Again and again and again. Is it not how it's always been? They try and they fail. They try and fail. They will never succed. They succeed all the time. It is all doomed to fail. We will make it last forever. This time it will work. This time will be different. This time there is no way for us to fail.

Is time a thing? Does it exist? Time is running out. With every second, the bell is getting closer. We don't have enough time. Rotation after rotation after rotation. We don't have enough time! Cycle, after cycle, after cycle. It will work. Some day. With enough time... Again and again. But time is running out. What if we can't make it? Try again and again.

There is no other option. There never was a different path. We have to try again and again. Doomed to repeat the same mistakes. Again and again.

But every time, it's a little different. It changes just a bit. Will it be enough? Will we solve this test before time runs out? There is no other option. You have to try. Again and again. Until you get it right. Until it's perfect. Or until there is no more time on the clock.
