I'm so tired of these constant conflicts everywhere. The problem isn't conflict itself. We can't just flat out get rid of all conflict. Conflict is a part of being human. My problem is the remote warfare tactics that are constantly employed. Culture wars, racism, political conflict, proxy wars, religious conflicts, and so, so many more. Instead of just two guys with opposing views duking it out, they now employ entire countries to duke it out as stand ins. A perfect example would be the still ongoing Russia vs Ukraine war. It is obviously a proxy war between east and west. With China supporting Russia and America "supporting" Ukraine. The people on the fronts are quite literally just pawns of forces far beyond their understanding. Forces of culture.

With the global village being a thing for the last several decades, we have the ability to send and recieve information from basically anywhere in the world to basically any location. This has caused cultures to mix and warp. Internet culture is an entirely new thing that only existed since about when the internet started getting popular. But there is still a great divide between eastern and western cultures. These two amalgamations of cultures are mostly incompatible, that's why they are destined to destroy each other. In the end, only one will remain. This conflict isn't even a thing that was facilitated by the internet. We could see it all brewing ever since the Cold War, and even earlier. This has been decades in the making.

We are all participants in a war that is going on everywhere at all times. A memetic war. Ideas are being weaponized and deployed into the populus, without consideration of what these ideas can do when allowed to run wild and evolve. There are people, very powerful people messing with forces they do not understand. Forces that have the power to make and break the entire future of humanity, and possibly all sentient life. And these people do not care about the consequences.

I know I'm rambling a bit, getting all out of focus, so I'll try to remedy that with the following statement. There is a constant conflict going on, and you are an unwilling, unwitting combatant. The combat in this conflict isn't done on a regular battlefield, although that is also a part of it. The main conflict happens inside the minds of the people, and inside the waves and ripples of culture.

And this isn't just America vs Russia anymore, this is global. EVERY SINGLE major power in the world is using these tactics. What you need is to be aware, to stay safe, and to protect your own mind from the constant memetic attack.

For the uninitiated, here are some definitions:

But how do we stay safe from ideas? Simple. Remember, what is real is what is right in front of you. Not whatever you see on the screen, not whatever is inside your mind, not whatever people are saying is happening. The only thing that is verifiable real is what you can see directly, and even then it can be misinterpreted.

So stay safe, stay vigilant, and remember to fortify your mind palace, because this is only going to get worse.
