Schizoposting? Yes please!

Just as Donald Trump once said "Here's the deal," we live in a simulation. And I can prove it.

It's not based on code, and it doesn't run an a computer. It runs on a chunk of fat encased in metal and rock. That's your brain, inside your skull.

Think about it this way: When you look at a spoon, you don't see a collection of iron and carbon attoms, you see a symbol.

Whenever we see "glitches" in reality, it's the internal error of the brain not being able to reconsile it's symbol-based programming with reality.

There are no errors in reality. There cannot be, by definition. Reality, the universe, is both software and hardware. Your brain is basically a graphics card and your consciousness is the person in front of the screen.

So, yes. We do live in a simulation. An internal simulation. Reality is real, but what we see is an illusion.

Let's get back to those supposed "glitches" in reality.

Quantum tunneling could be seen as a collision/clipping error. The speed of light limiting our perspective to the observable universe? That's just a render distance and computation speed limiter. Time crystals? Just scripts running on a loop.

"But wait!" you say, your face red, faming at the mouth, "You're talking about two different things here! You can't equate errors in perception with the fundimental laws of the universe!"

Can't I? Who's going to stop me? You?

Nah, I'm kidding. Let me explain.

It is a known thing that our branis can rationalize things that logically make no actual sense. It happens in dreams and during hallucinations. It happens to people who had their brain hemispheres separated. And it happens when we have the illusion of free will, but our brains have actually already decided.

So, thsese things that still don't make sese, they must really not make sense, because our brains are great at coming up with reasons to justify things. We've been doing it ever since our speices first evolved. It's not even a phenomenon unique to humans. Rationalization is a great tool for survival. Because a world that doesn't make sense is scary. And a world that doesn't make sense but you think it does is less scary.

At this point I'm not even sure what I'm talking about, so I'm just going to rephrase my entire point. Just to make it clear what the hell I'm rambling on about.

Reality is real, but our perception of reality is an illusion created by our brains. Our brains don't see reality, they see symbols. They interpret wavelengths of light as colors, vibrations in the air as sound. Gravitational fields as directions. Raduation as heat. We cannot perceive actual reality. And that's a scary thought. We live in a waking dream, forever trapped in prisons of our own perception.

And there is only one way to escape it. But I'll talk about that in the future.
