Anyone who can make it this deep in the thread. Or do you think this is a private conversation on a public forum?

Why would anyone want read your denial about astrospam mitigations you refuse to provide alternatives for?
Piefed is a tool anyone can use. If you feel mass downvoting with an account is something like social “credit” that piefeed nomenclatures as “attitude,” then I have no idea how users will use that credit, and what for. “Repudiation” is something all threadiverse software mitigates one way or another.
And I am being extremely generous, as it seems you don't know anything about computer sciences.

I'm sorry, are you a disabled person? Or did you forget the point you guys were trying to make? Rhodesia changed its government and name. South Africa changed its government. No third parties partitioned the lands of either. Your examples are advocating for my approach of punishing the leadership and giving the people a fresh start.

I’m sorry, are you a disabled person? Or did you forget the point you guys were trying to make?

Damn, I can really feel how tempted you were to use the r-slur there. Not surprising that a zionist and a colonialist would also be an ableist.

Your examples are advocating for my approach of punishing the leadership and giving the people a fresh start.

My examples are advocating for decolonization done by the people there (Palestinians). You're the one imagining "third parties".

What is a good alternative instance for me that is not supporting Zionism, but also not db0 as I feel some of the communities on feddit.org don't really have the Zionism problem?

You could use an instance that federates widely (such as lemmy.zip) if you want to be able to interact with as many communities as possible.

What a dehumanising and despicable statement. The people murdered by Hamas did nothing wrong. Certainly nothing that could justify their deaths. They did not colonise anything either; they were simply born there. This conflict really brings out the worst in some people. On the one hand, they blame the murder of innocent people on colonialism, and on the other, on the alleged human shield tactic...

It's extremely telling that you read this:

All violence in a settler colony, including the violence perpetrated by and against the colonizers, is the fault of the colonizers.

And concluded that it meant "every 'Israeli' who died deserved it". It actually meant "some of them didn't deserve to die, but their deaths are still the fault of 'Israel' because it's a colonial project that cause this to happen".

This conflict really brings out the worst in some people. On the one hand, they blame the murder of innocent people on colonialism, and on the other, on the alleged human shield tactic.

Yeah, it did happen because of colonialism. It's also extremely telling that you present these statements as equivalent, as if "'Israel' is a settler colony" and "Hamas use human shields" are equally valid statements. The first is a very basic, correct analysis of the nature of the state, which the most important early zionists (such as Herzl and Ben Gurion) not only agreed with but were proud of. The second is a racist lie designed to try to excuse genocide.

"Israel" literally uses human shields, by the way. They have actually tied human beings to the front of their vehicles in the past.

Antisemitic clearly means anti-Jewish. Sure it technically means all Semitic people, and as such a better word could have been used so long ago, but it's intended and in use meaning today is very clearly defined. Jewish people have been some of the biggest victims of Middle Eastern and European hate for thousands of years. You're doing the #AllLivesMatter of religious hate.

Islamophobia is much more prevalent in the west than antijudaism. There is islamophobia on a systemic level. And lets not pretend that it's directed only at muslims but arabs in general. Crying "antisemitism!!" about an indigenous armed resistance movement is the #alllivesmatter of this conflict.

You do that a lot, don't you? Imagine things about people you disagree with and then assume they're true.

My examples are advocating for decolonization done by the people there (Palestinians). You’re the one imagining “third parties”.

I'm imagining third parties? You just stated that Palestinians are Israelis, mate. To the Israelis (and their nation), Palestinians are the third party (and the other way around).

You really are having trouble grasping simple concepts.

Hamas' stated eradication of Israel = genocide.

The removal of Israel's government, reform, security guarantees towards Palestine = not genocide.

I thought this was relatively simple to get.

I don't need to imagine, you called me "a disabled person" as an insult. That's exactly as bad as using the r-slur because it's literally the same thing.

I'm imagining third parties? You just stated that Palestinians are Israelis, mate. To the Israelis (and their nation), Palestinians are the third party (and the other way around).

Shut up, lmao. I'm tired of dealing with your colonizer ignorance. Several people have explained to you several times how and why you are wrong and it's clear that your racist condescending European colonial attitude makes it impossible for you to actually grasp the reality of colonialism and therefore the reality of "Israel".

40 years ago you would have been crying about how "the Blacks" want to commit genocide against the white South Africans and denying that they were colonizers too. Before you cry about how you "didn't say that", that's what's called a "hypothetical". It's meant to demonstrate your gross racism in a way that's easier for you to understand, because the two situations are the same but everyone today knows that the South African example would be obviously racist.

Hamas' stated eradication of Israel = genocide.

Go read the 2017 charter instead of assuming the people you think are below you match the caricature you have of them in your head.

I don’t need to imagine, you called me “a disabled person” as an insult

I asked you as a hypothetical. It was meant to verify the cause for your gross historical ignorance and genocidal tendencies.

Several people have explained to you several times how and why you are wrong

Yeah, by ignoring archaeological and historical evidence. Cheers for that. I'll stick to facts, not fundamentalist faith.

your racist condescending European colonial attitude

"Both peoples have the right to the land their ancestors come from" - such colonialism, much condescension! Wow!

it impossible for you to actually grasp the reality of colonialism and therefore the reality of “Israel”.

One people living in an area and getting a country: all good.

Another people living in an area and getting a country: COLONIALISM!

Are you hearing yourself?

40 years ago you would have been crying about how “the Blacks” want to commit genocide against the white South Africans and denying that they were colonizers too

the two situations are the same but everyone today knows that the South African example would be obviously racist.

The two situations are MASSIVELY different.

Whites had no business being in SA in the first place, especially as colonisers.

Whereas Jews/Israelites lived in the Palestine Region for at least 2600 years before Israel and Palestine became a thing.

Go read the 2017 charter instead of assuming the people you think are below you match the caricature you have of them in your head.

OK, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let you explain it to me.

Let's even ignore the fact that Hamas keeps flinging dumb rockets at Israel non-stop. Let's even pretend that the recent attack was "an inside job" or something.

How are they going to "restore the lands of Palestine", defined as "everything between the river Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea" without literally making Israel non-existent, thus eradicating it?

To the first part, this is no reductionism or whatever, I'm just asking a question. To the second part, thank you for explaining your terminology, for me "death to [country]" meant "to the whole country, including the people". I would have used "dismantle the government of [country]" instead, to say what you mean.

The point behind using "death to " is (for me at least)

a) kill any respect that got indoctrinated to the nationstate. I spit on genocidesmany and on pissrael

b) acknowledge that said "dismantling" will be a very violent affair

Ignoring your inability to tell the difference between "death to a political entity" and "death to the entire population", very funny that you think "death to empire" and "death to colonialism" are "genocidal". My point is that you gloss over the suffering of innocent people while excusing the actions of the respective murderers, just as people on the other side do. Namely, as a necessary and inevitable consequence of the other leaders' actions. You argue structurally against the innocent victims using the same logic as the supporters of the IDF.

It is a reversal of perpetrator and victim to appease your own conscience. An exaggerated and thus dehumanising tribalism that draws legitimacy for crimes against innocent people from the crimes of another group of actors. It is a misanthropic and cynical logic with which any atrocity could be justified (which is, of course, done constantly around the world).

Hamas and IDF supporters are equally malicious and disgusting. The murder of innocent people is always and fundamentally wrong. Leftists must reject and fight it.

As long as there is colonialism there will be violent resistance. This violence as well as the initial violence of the colonizers is the fault of the colonizers.

I'm sure some innocent Germans were killed during WW2 by resistance fighters, but the reason it happened was because of the actions of Germany. Without the colonization, it would not have happened and if you focus on it to condemn the resistance fighters then people will correctly identify you as a nazi.

Like the nazis who make those arguments about WW2, you are attempting to justify your opposition to resistance and therefore your support of genocide.

1 search for "vanguard" returns several comments of you supporting a vanguard party. That is not "worker run" or democratic. So why lie and pretend you support democracy or workers?

Vanguards are both worker run and democratic. Vanguards are a subsection of the working classes, not a class of their own or outside class struggle, and are both democratic internally, as well as establishing systems of democracy externally. I'm really not sure where you're getting the idea that believing the working class needs to be organized for revolution means democracy is suddenly off the table.

For example, in the USSR, first-hand accounts from Statesian journalist Anna Louise Strong in her book This Soviet World describe soviet elections and factory councils in action. Statesian Pat Sloan even wrote Soviet Democracy to describe in detail the system the soviets had built for curious Statesians to read about. Today we have Professor Roland Boer's Socialism in Power: On the History and Theory of Socialist Governance to reference for other socialist countries, with their own forms of democracy.

So again, why lie about what I believe? I'm not responsible for you not knowing what a vanguard is or how socialist democracy works, but you feel very confident in telling me that I'm lying about it.

"Intellectuals," or whatever term you wish to describe them as, are not a class, but a subsection of every class. Each class has its own "intellectuals," there are proletarian intellectuals and there are capitalist intellectuals. What the vanguard is, is a group of the working classes dedicated to revolution, professional revolutionaries. They are not "elites." Here's a diagram from Lady Izdihar, with the "organized core" being the vanguard:

Classes are not simply any way you can categorize people, but specific social relations to production. Yes, steel workers are often members of vanguard parties. I organize with a communist party and have a full-time job. I'm not "acting" like you're mistaken, you are mistaken, you do not know how vanguards function nor how democracy works within vanguards and socialist countries with vanguard parties, otherwise you wouldn't be acting like vanguards are a "class" and that they aren't democratic.

One can only come to such a conclusion if one adopts Hamas' interpretation of who the oppressors are. Namely, all Jews or Israelis by virtue of their origin.

Each class has its own "intellectuals," there are proletarian intellectuals and there are capitalist intellectuals. What the vanguard is, is a group of the working classes dedicated to revolution, professional revolutionaries. They are not "elites." Here's a diagram from Lady Izdiha...

No you're explaining pre/during revolution. I dont care about structure during those times.

My issue is with your support for vanguard party post revolution. A vanguard party post revolution absolutely would be a more educated elite class than a steel worker. Ive even seen you talk about the vanguard party educating the working class on the revolutionary ideas which to me just sounds like 1:1 an elite class ruling over workers with total control.

I'm talking about both before and after revolution, such as in this comment where I talk about democratic systems in post-revolutionary socialist states. This was 2 comments ago, either you forgot about it already or didn't read it, neither of which shows any real sense of care for truth on your part.

Secondly, as I explained in my last comment, "intellectuals" are not a class. They belong to broader classes. Vanguards are indeed supposed to teach the rest of the working classes how to correctly struggle. Are you going to tell me that teachers in schools are an "elite class" too? This is just anti-intellectualism. Not everyone is going to be dedicated to studying revolutionary theory and history, not everyone is going to be a labor organizer, but that doesn't mean we can't have people dedicated to doing so.

Classes are social relations to production. The vanguard party and non-vanguard working class both have the same ownership over the means of production, just like your manager at whatever job you have likely isn't an owner either.

Where are you getting all of these confused ideas about class, socialist democracy, and vanguards from? It certainly isn't from Marx, Engels, Lenin, etc, nor is it from historical documentation.
